Safety on the Road Scholarship Winners

At Lone Star Injury Attorneys, we’ve seen first-hand how dangerous our roadways can be. Because of this, we are delighted to offer an annual scholarship award to a student passionate for making our roads a safer place. After sifting through hundreds of applicants each year, the scholarship is awarded to the applicant with the brightest and most creative plan for improving our roads to make a positive impact in the community. 2023 Winner: Alexis Poindexter

About Alexis: Alexis Poindexter, a proud Baltimore native, is a first-year masters student in the Molecular and Cellular Medicine program at the University of Oxford, where she conducts research in arthrofibrosis. She recently graduated with honors in chemistry from Williams College, where she completed a thesis in organic chemistry. She hopes to one day pursue a PhD in biological research. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with programs that help low-income students in the U.S. apply to college, wild swimming, and biking all around Oxford.

Reaction Statement: I deeply appreciate the Lone Star Injury Attorneys for selecting me as the recipient of the 2023 Safety on the Road Scholarship. By awarding me the Safety on the Road Scholarship, I have the opportunity to focus on my education and reduce my financial burdens. As a result, this scholarship has put me one step closer to achieving my goal of obtaining a PhD. I am extremely grateful to the Lone Star Injury Attorneys for their generosity and support in my academic pursuits.
